Behavioral Health

Offering culturally sensitive care for you and your family

Our team of master’s level and licensed bilingual psychotherapists provides outpatient therapy to children, adolescents, and adults.  Our therapists work together with individuals, couples, and families to identify the most appropriate treatment.   With consent from clients and caregivers, therapists are also able to consult with other professionals who are working with them as part of a multidisciplinary team of support, with clients and families at the center.  When a need for more intensive and/or specialized care is identified, the Amanecer team helps clients and caregivers find that care.

What you can expect

Clients in therapy can expect an individualized assessment of symptoms and experiences that relate to their presenting need.  From this assessment, the therapist and client(s) develop a treatment plan that includes activities and interventions to respond to the needs and strengths identified in the assessment.  Each therapist has specialized training in various models of treatment, which can be found in each therapist’s bios.  Options may include:

  • Education about how the brain and the body work together
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
  • Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Techniques
  • Self-Compassion Skills
  • Family Based Treatment for Eating Disorders (FBT-E)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
  • Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT)

Our team will work with you to schedule your appointment as quickly as possible from the time of referral.
